Summary:
Very informative
Detailed:
What I like about this book is that it gives a ton of careers at the end and explains what the work will be like and other necessary information, like salary and whether promotions are likely. However, if you are looking for exact careers based upon your personality type, this book is more a general overview of what would be good based on whether you're conventional, realistic, artistic, ect. For people who have absolutely no idea what career they might enjoy, buy this book.

Summary:
Hype
Detailed:
I found this book to be too technical, too much information that really does not help a job seeker drill down a new or existing career.

Summary:
Very helpful to highschoolers!
Detailed:
I have a nephew who is at a loss as to what career path to take...I gave this book to him and he spent the entire holiday week off from school reading this. Its chocked with information that relates to one's personality and what career fits with your talents. It points out a surprising number of sub fields one could consider, which I think fascinated my nephew.
This is a worthwhile book to give teenagers. IT explores the personality, likes and dislikes of certain fields, and actually spikes the teen's imagination and curiosity about different career fields one may not be familiar with.

Summary:
Another disappointing job search book
Detailed:
I have long been hoping to find the ONE career book that will point me in the write direction of finding the career that I want out of life. I'm coming to believe that these books are mostly a waste of money.
This book contains a personality test that is not unlike any other career assessment test that you can take online, for FREE. It then contains a boat load of charts...50 highest paying jobs for this personality type....50 jobs for this personality type with the highest amount of women/men employed...ect ect. If this sort of thing interests you then by all means this book might be for you.
Most of the book however is a list of different jobs for the different personality types that contains descriptions, experience/education needed, related job, ect but it is all on a VERY BASIC level.
Save your money and speak with a career counsler.
