Rochester Jobs

Downstairs from us there is a staffing agency. I watch the constant stream of people coming and going from that office and wonder how the Rochester jobs situation really is. I hear on the news that Rochester NY is doing quite well nationally. That is, compared to other major cities, Rochester has done better economically. This means that more jobs have stayed around than in other cities. When the economy turns down, jobs are harder to find in general.

This is not to say that Rochester jobs are easy to find. No. There is competition for job seekers just like everywhere else. This only means that the employment scene has not fallen as much as in other places. In other words, at a macro level, there are more jobs available in Rochester NY per capita than in other cities.
